It is best to be seated as close to the dealer as possible so that you can see how your opponents play their hands and make informed decisions.
As the flop comes and you are holding a strong poker hand, bet aggressively. This will force weaker players to fold and will increase the value of your poker hand. It is also helpful to know what type of player your opponent is. Conservative players tend to fold early and can be easily bluffed by aggressive players.
After the flop is revealed, a fourth community card is put on the board that everyone can use. This is called the turn. If you have a good poker hand at this point, you should continue to bet and try to bluff your way to victory.
The last part of the poker showdown is when a fifth card is revealed. The final betting rounds take place and the highest ranked poker hand wins the pot. A royal flush is the best poker hand of all, consisting of all five matching cards. Other good poker hands include a full house (3 matching cards of one rank and 2 matching cards of another rank) or a straight (5 consecutive cards of the same suit).
